Frank Ocean Is Suing A ‘Blonde’ And ‘Channel Orange’ Producer Over THIS

Spotify's Inaugural Secret Genius Awards hosted by Lizzo

There’s trouble on the horizon for Frank Ocean and one of his colleagues.

Mr. Ocean is reportedly suing a producer for trying to take what he estimates is waaayy too much credit for the songs that ended up on his 2016 album, Blonde. Frank has now taken legal action against producer Om’Mas Keith, according to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Keith is said to be claiming co-writing credits for a whopping 11 Blonde tracks—including “Ivy” and “Pink + White”—via ASCAP. According to the former Odd Future member, though, Keith had no involvement in the music or lyrics behind any of those tracks at all. According to reports from TMZ, Ocean is sticking to his story: that he hired Keith back in 2014 to work on “the master recordings” for a flat rate–and that’s that.

In September of 2016, Om’Mas Keith’s name was all over the place in the revealed Blonde credits, seemingly having multiple contributions. This isn’t the first time the two worked together, either. The producer previously helped with his previous project, Channel Orange and boasts credits with big league artists like Jay Z, Kanye West, St. Vincent, Earl Sweatshirt, and more.

It was all good just a week ago….Keith said in a 2016 Fuse interview, “I love working with him…Frank and I are always involved.” Guess something went wrong along the way.

10 Child Stars From The 2000’s Who Grew Up To Be Fine AF (Some You Won’t Believe)

It’s always been a running joke that kids on television seem to grow up faster than kids in real life.

Obviously it isn’t true. But the fact that we’ve watched some of these characters week after week for years makes us feel like we really know them. So when they go from a baby to a bae, it’s just as heartwarming  as seeing your younger cousins grow up.

Wendy Williams Has A Long History Of Being Beyoncé’s Biggest Hater

The American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection 2018 Presented By Macy's - Arrivals & Front Row

Wendy Williams has made a whole career out of being shady, but every once in a while she takes bad mouthing celebrities a step too far—especially where Beyoncé is concerned. Just today, for example, she shared her opinion on Fergie‘s All-Star Weekend “Star Spangled Banner” fail and somehow ended up shading Bey in the process. It’s starting to feel like Wendy will take any and every opportunity to needlessly come for Yoncé. The question is: why? Maybe ratings?

Listed below is just SOME of what the talk show host has had to say about Bey and her family in recent times. You’ll find that even when Wendy’s stanning for the queen, there’s no shortage of backhanded compliments.

1. 2012: That Time Wendy Mocked The Way Beyoncé Speaks…

“I am a Beyoncé fan. I’m gonna be watching this documentary, even if she doesn’t introduce us to new stuff…fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I’ll be able to understand what she says. You know Beyoncé can’t talk, you all. Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth grade education. She can’t talk. Excuse me? I just said I’m a fan, but we have to call a spade a spade. I mean, honestly. We really do have the closed captioning just for times like that,” she said on The Wendy Williams Show.

2.  2014: These Were Her Hopeful Yet Cynical Comments About The Carters Potentially Divorcing…

“They’re reportedly trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing—in other words, a hood divorce,” Wendy commented as her audience erupted with laughter. Later, she adds “I do think, though, that they are vain enough that when the love is over…that they will not divorce because they’re scared of what we’re gonna say.”

3. 2016: Wendy Needlessly Criticized Beyoncé’s Lemonade Timing…

“I wish that Beyoncé held off on this whole album, ’til Prince… until this entire weekend blew over,” she said to her audience. She went on to speak about the “Becky With The Good Hair” drama involving Rachel Roy, accusing the Carters of having had Roy on their payroll.

4. Present Day Hateration: Wendy Says Beyoncé Needs Auto-tune

“There are only a few people who can sing raw dog and Fergie is not one, she needs autotune,” Wendy commented. “Jen Lopez needs autotune, Janet needs autotune, Beyoncé needs autotune…” she added as her audience gasps in disbelief, as if to ask “She can’t be talking about the same Beyoncé we’re thinking about, right?”

See below.

Lemme guess, you’re just “keeping it real,” right Wendy?

Suge Knight

Source: BET Networks / Miami Herald/TNS/ZUMAPRESS.com

On Tuesday, February 20, BET will premiere their six-part, three-night docu-series, chronicling the rise and fall of Death Row Records. Unlike documentaries in the past, Death Row Chronicles dives into the infamous record label as told by those involved.

Speaking to friends and family members of Suge Knight, and Suge himself (from prison), Death Row Chronicles begins by providing insight into the mogul’s upbringing. You’ll find out about his childhood, his days as a college football player and what lead him to the music industry. We’ll also hear from Michael “Harry O” Harris, the currently incarcerated drug kingpin who played a huge role in the founding of the label.

With testimony from Suge Knight, Kurupt, Michel’le, Danny Boy and others, in addition to unreleased footage and music from the Death Row vault, the series will take audiences deep inside the history of the renowned label and the legacy it left behind.

Hear the stories of Death Row and its artists, including Dr. Dre and Tupac Shakur, starting Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00PM ET.

KENYA-US-ARTS-CINEMA

This Presidents Day weekend, Black Panther owned the box office by grossing $404 million worldwide and $235 million domestically.

With these numbers, BP shatters the record once held by Deadpool by having the highest opening of all time for a film released in February. Deadpool once held the record with its $152 million opening.

BP also holds the record as the fifth-highest opening for a film ever, according to Box Office Mojo.  It’s the third-highest grossing film released over a four-day weekend.

With such major cash, we can only imagine all of Wakanda is turning up. Dancer Joshua Buchanan demonstrates some of the moves King T’Challa might drop in the videos below!
